C.R.A.P. Addict Recovery Tools

I am a survivor of long term sexual assault. This trauma has effected my life in ways it has taken me over 20 years to fully understand. It is definitely a contributing factor in why I am a RECOVERING C.R.A.P. Addict. It also FUELS my desire to help others in the same boat. Whether their addiction comes from sexual trauma, physical and/or verbal abuse, or just the way our society has skewed the way we view ourselves thus making it virtually impossible to love ourselves.

C.R.A.P. means two things to me and both meanings are DETRIMENTAL to living a fit and healthy life...mentally, physically, fiscally, and spiritually.

One meaning refers to the C.R.A.P. we feed our bodies and the other the C.R.A.P. we feed our mind and our soul. The combination of the two can ROB our lives of JOY!

One way that I help change the lives of others is through The Y.E.S. Initiative because YOUR EMPOWERED SELF is the only one who can bring LASTING and SUSTAINABLE change to YOUR life.

In November 1992 I made a decision to STOP being a victim. I lived in survivor mode for 20 YEARS after that...which I now know is just as crippling.

I was molested. I was sexually assaulted. I was raped. I was manipulated for 6 years of my childhood by a male that I loved and trusted. My ANTI-FATHER (stepfather) was a MONSTER disguised as a loving family man and friend to all. Given my experiences as a child, yes I was preyed upon and victimized. Please BELIEVE I am NO ONES victim!!! 

Being a VICTIM however is a CHOICE. He turned me into on for 6 years.

I will not ALLOW anyone to turn me into one again.
The things that occurred were OUTSIDE of my CONTROL. 

They were AGAINST my WILL! I did not have a VOICE! 

I did not have a CHOICE!! 

I chose to be a SURVIVOR for years and it kept me alive but I wasn't living!! 

I am ready to STOP surviving and start THRIVING. I CHOOSE to FLY as an EMPOWERED SURTHRIVOR!! 

I experienced heinous acts no child should ever endure. Some of which will never be heard. Despite being very open about what happened to me in the hopes that it HELPS others. I will probably still take some things to my grave. That's how HORRIBLE it was! Don't feel sorry for me though...it's what REVEALED my PURPOSE! 

It has FUELED my MISSION!

I am a SURVIVOR who chooses to THRIVE! More importantly I am on a Pay It Forward Mission to help others do the same. Thus the C.R.A.P. ADDICT RECOVERY TOOLKIT was born.
